Environmental policy statement

The principal concern of GIBB is to follow the best environmental practice both in engineering services for clients and in the management of all office facilities. Our corporate aim is to recognise the importance of environmental issues in the work we undertake.

The policy consists of objectives which are designed to ensure a continued improvement in environmental performance. These objectives relate to two areas: environmental issues affecting the office environment and the impact of our project work on other environments.

For our office environment this means:

  • To set target levels of environmental performance and to ensure that all potential environmental impacts are considered;

  • To continually monitor and improve environmental performance and prevention of pollution through the development and implementation of monitoring programmes and the inclusion of environmental performance as part of the Business Management System.

For our project environment this means:

  • To ensure that environmental implications are satisfactorily considered in our project work;

  • To conserve and enhance the environment in and around our project locations as part of any project we are involved in.

GIBB will comply with all environmental legislation and regulations applicable to the office and project environments. GIBB intends to remain at the forefront of the application of environmental standards by Consulting Engineers.
